Travel Diary: Paris II

Paris is a romantic city. This was the image planted in my mind about Paris. The expectation is so high but it turned out to be a disappoinment. I cannot denied that Paris is worth visiting afterall with the artistic atmosphere surrounding the whole city. However it just cannot match the fame of a romantic city. The street is dirty, people are not that polite, the underground is dark and smelly.

Putting aside the dark side, i still had a wonderful moment visiting every piece of art works in the city.Basilica which dominated Montmartre with Romano-byzantine style and Notre Dame with French Gothic architecture, two chathedral with totally different style and architecture stood vividly in my mind.
Basilica

Notre Dame

i cannot forget the shivering night waiting for the the Eiffel Tower to light up just for a snap and the disappoinment of unable to climb up the tower.

And is a wonderful experience exploring the Louvre Museum where the famous Monna Lisa smile is kept here. And here is the place where the best seller "Da Vinci Code" took place.
