RoboCup Soccer Simulation

Last semester I had a programming class on C programming. The interesting part of that class was we had a session called project based learning, which we need to write program to move robots to participate in the simulation game. Actually we were not building the whole simulation program but we were building our source code based on RoboCup Soccer Simulator-- rcsssever 's library.

Two doctorate students (international students) who has their research theme on Physical Visualization League were our instructor throughout the class. We teamed up with 4 students a group to make a team with a keeper, a defender and two striker. By using the library(simplified version), we wrote simple code to allow the robot to pass a ball to team mate and to block the opponent from attacking.

We had a tournament among the teams at the last class. My team had a tough fight with others before we loose to the first runner-up team. Not a a very good result but instead we had a fun time that day and we learn a lot through the class.
